Urban Water Resources Development and Utilization (Northern) National Engineering Research Center

Approved by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Harbin Institute of Technology (Harbin Institute of Technology) and Yuehai Water Utilities co., Ltd. jointly build the National Engineering Research Center for Urban Water Resources Development and Utilization (Northern China) and implement the enterprise operation. Specializing in the research and development of key generic technologies and the industrialization of major scientific and technological achievements in the field of comprehensive treatment of China's water environment and drinking water safety, we provide advanced technologies, processes and products for the industry under the market mechanism.

The center has a comprehensive experimental building of nearly 6000 square meters, To build the urban water supply security, comprehensive prevention and control of water pollution, water saving and water efficient recycling technology, digital and optimization of water system, water resources functional materials and equipment, water treatment technology at low temperature, physical and chemical water treatment technology, intelligent water environment perception and eight aspects such as decision-making system technology research and development platform, and formed with CMA certification of the third party authority Environmental inspection agency.

The center has a research and development team led by 4 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. In the direction of research and development, the center closely focuses on the three themes of urban water environment ecological security, urban water quality security and urban water health cycle. After more than ten years of development, center on the ultrafiltration membrane water treatment, coal chemical industry wastewater treatment and sludge resource utilization, the water environment control based on Internet of things, the urban black smelly comprehensive treatment, raw water, water quality monitoring and early warning, water supply pipe network operation and leakage control and other fields with rich experience in engineering practice and related scientific and technological achievements won many national and provincial awards.
